Josefina was born March 19th, 1963 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. She first came to the Ranch as a student at the age of 8. She grew up here and returned home at 17 to help her mother who was also deaf. A year later she felt God calling her to come and serve here. Six years later Luke and Josefina were married. She loves teaching the deaf children daily chapel and Wednesday bible studies. In 2002 she had a devastating brain hemorrhage. After emergency brain surgery, she went through rigorous physical therapy. Despite having a 10% chance of ever walking again, she overcame those odds to be the walking example of what God can do in a person’s life. She loves making cookies, reading her bible and being a mother.
